How to get the most from your Life Lift Aerobic Breathing video. (the original)
I designed this DVD/Video in a way that would allow you to customize your own workout. Use it not only for instruction, but also as your own personal tool kit. Make it your own and you will be more successful in making your dreams of a healthy, fit body reality.
After you have learned to do the Life Lift breathing technique correctly from the original video you may want to progress to the workout videos designed with a complete body workout. There are several to choose from. You may be like many who love the Life Lift breathing technique so much that they alternate their workout videos daily to keep a fresh attitude and to keep the body responding better to the new abundance of oxygen. Alternating your workout seems to help the body resist going into a plateau. Results often seem better when you do a different workout every so often. When working with athletes in the past I have found that the body responds better if you can give your body a break from the same workout routine daily.
This video is meant to help you realize your goals. First you have to set them.
Here make a list of things you would like to accomplish by using Life Lift.
Some examples would be:
1- To have more energy
2- To sleep better
3- To have less stress
4- To eliminate some pounds and inches permanently without dieting
5- To increase my self esteem
6- To learn to nurture myself more, to relax and enjoy life
7- To have better skin
8- To look and feel younger (Life Lift has been found to be anti-aging)
9- To strengthen my immune system
10-To have better muscle tone
11-To increase my physical strength
12-To improve digestion and elimination
13-To find relief from incontinence (Life Lift has a built in Kigali exercise)
Now create your own list. Prioritize the list for yourself.

Put your list where you can see it daily and when you feel too tired, too distracted or too discouraged to breathe, just remember how just a few good breaths can change the way you feel and look, right now. Take a slow sniff up, then a slow deep breath out. do this three times and then add a few of your actual Life Lift breaths to whatever else you may be doing.
You have all the tools you need to do this right inside of you. You have made the small investment into buying your video so that you could follow along to know that you are doing your Life Lift breathing correctly, now all you need for the rest of your life is your own body. Now commit yourself to follow through.
You deserve to be as healthy and fit and stress free as you want to be.
Now go for it!
If you need my help I am here. My a-mail address is at the bottom of this message and all you need to do is write me. I will be here for you every step of the way.
I will automatically send you updates when I change or add something new to the breathing technique to improve it if you are subscribed to the free newsletter.
OF.O.K.. Now are you ready to feel better than you ever have in your life?
In the first section of the video I will teach you how to do the basic Life Lift breath. I have been teaching this for many years and I have never found anyone who cannot do it. Even children can do it. I know you can too.
If you feel for any reason that the pah, breath out is too intense, modify it. I often teach people to think of the pah as a breath going deep into the bottom of the belly. Remember to keep it as a total air sound. Think of a suction, a vacuum pulling your breath down from your mouth to the deepest part of your belly.
The different positions that I show in the video are designed to help you sculpt your body. The basic Life Lift breath always works the abdomen . Since most men have problems with their waistlines and stomach's this is one of the reasons they enjoy Life Lift so much. The other positions will help you target your problem areas. Play with the different positions until you feel comfortable with each of them, then pick your favorites. After you get familiar with the different positions it is good to pick 3 or 4 to do daily. Do each position for 3 to 10 breaths. This way you will focus the oxygen to specific muscles and you will not get tired of doing the same ones all of the time. Soon you will be able to graduate to the 15/20 minute workout videos where you will be able to work out with me without having to think about doing the Life Lift breath correctly.
For now the main thing is to master the Life Lift breath. Ultimately it is the most important part of this video!
At the end of the video you will find instructions for the all-natural acupressure face lift. I figured if you are going to want to get your body in the best shape possible, you would certainly want your face to look as good
FAQ. Frequently asked questions and answers.
1- How many Life Lift breaths should I do and how often?
To lose weight and inches I suggest that you do about 40 Life Lift breaths daily until you reach your goal. This is the equivalent of about 20 minutes daily. When you begin following the new workout videos you will be doing your breaths at a slower, more precise tempo, so you will need to do less repetitions. You can get a great workout in 15 minutes. Lately I have been telling people to try to incorporate it into their daily lives, doing a few here and there when you are doing other things like sitting at your computer, tighten your hind end and breathe, rather than just sitting there. It is also great to do when you are in your tub or shower, get into the standing pelvic tilt if you are in the shower, if you are in the bathtub, just flex your fanny and breathe. When you are brushing your hair, putting on makeup, driving your car, just standing. Just do a few breaths and watch the stress disappear, and see your inches and pounds leave you too. I have noticed a remarkable increase in amazing testimonials telling me of wonderful results in not only inch and weight loss, but healing from those suffering from illness and disease.
When you reach your goal, or if you are doing it only to build your immune system, get healthier, sleep better, keep your muscles toned, reduce stress, etc. or just for maintenance-then 5 or 10 minutes 3 or 4 days a week is usually sufficient. Doing Life Lift is so simple that you can do it anywhere that it is convenient. Let it become a natural part of your life. I find that if I am feeling stressed or tired or just thinking about wanting to look better that I will do it several times a day, usually just 5 or 10 breaths, (about 2 to 5 minutes). It makes me feel so much better. I have incorporated it into my life. You can make it a natural part of your life too. Breathing right is the most important and valuable gift you can give yourself. And it is so easy. It is a natural high. When you learn to do it right you will get that famous endorphin high that runner's talk about, without any stress to your skeletal structure, instead you will be nurturing your body to be stronger and healthier.
2- How do I know if it is working?
Remember that each person is an individual. It may not feel the same to everyone. It is common to feel light headed, especially if you are not used to working out. If you are one of the lucky ones you may get the endorphin high.
Some people feel tingly all over from the increase in circulation.
Some people experience an extreme energy boost some times and other times may feel so relaxed that they will start to yawn. This is normal.
Often people feel tighter and more toned after one session, yet some people will take longer to notice this feeling.
There are so many factors that contribute to your results and your experience such as medications you may be taking, how many times you have dieted, how fast your metabolism is functioning, your age, your state of health, how much you are trying to lose. This is a good reason to target goals other than just weight and inch loss. There are so many benefits and if you are focusing on all of the benefits of doing your Life Lift breaths you will stay on track and not be so hard on yourself if you do not start by having a dramatic inch and weight loss immediately.
3-How do I check my progress?
It is a great idea to measure yourself before you start your Life Lift program. Many people see an inch loss after their first session doing Life Lift. If you are one of the lucky ones it can be pretty inspiring to see the changes. If it takes you longer, then you can make adjustments to your workout by trying different things. Often people prefer to see the difference in the way their clothes fit. Do what makes you feel most comfortable.
I personally do not own a scale. I believe that you will be so much more successful if you gauge your success by how much better you feel and just measure every week or so, rather than standing on a scale every day. First of all there are so many factors that will contribute to your weight fluctuating daily and you may become discouraged if you are feeling the pressure of that scale staring you in the face every day. Muscle weighs much more than fat and as you lose fat inches you may actually gain muscle weight as you become more toned. Years ago I was in a car accident and did not do Life Lift for awhile, I found that I was the same size, yet my muscles were flabby and not as well-toned. When I got on a scale I realized I had lost about 15 pounds. It was muscle weight I had lost. I know I look better now that I have the extra 15 pounds back because it is good, heavy, muscle tone.
It is common for someone to lose 16 or more inches and yet only lose a couple of pounds of weight, so rely on a tape measure instead of a scale to see your best results.
4-Should I hold the flex during the whole Life Lift breath or just at the end when holding my breath during
the "Lift"?
Either way is fine. Do what is comfortable for you. When you flex or stretch a muscle you are drawing the oxygen to the point of stress. The oxygen is rushing to the muscle you have flexed or stretched to heal, thus the benefit is toning and firming that specific muscle area.
5- How intense should I do the exercises?
Because of my years of training in the health and fitness field, I believe strongly that slow, precise movements are much more effective than quick, intense movements. I also know that if you become too intense you may burn yourself out easily. One of the things that is so appealing about the Life Lift program is that it is so easy, manageable and nurturing. I feel certain that the reason I have so many people who have maintained their results for so many years using Life Lift is because it is so easy to do and it feels so good. If you will create a program for yourself using Life Lift as a way to relax and nurture yourself it will be easy to do Life Lift for your Lifetime.
6-When is the best time to do Life Lift?
A good time is before eating, however new studies show that it is ok and may even be beneficial to do your Life Lift breathing shortly after eating, Usually 15 minutes if you have eaten a full meal. Time of day is not important. You can do it anytime that is convenient for you.
Because you are tightening the abdomen area it is easier to do and more comfortable if your stomach is not too full.
Another reason to do Life Lift without a full stomach is to maximize the effect of Naturally Occurring Human Growth Hormone (HGH). Life Lift is a natural way to release this "Youth Hormone," which you may have read about. HGH is a natural substance abundant in young people, proven to burn fat, tone muscles, increase energy, improve skin tone and speed up reflexes. Increased HGH in older people can turn back the clock. I have studied the effects of HGH for many years and believe it to be vital to preserve the benefits that have previously been reserved only for the biologically young person. I have personally seen the positive effects of Life Lift on so many people without having to spend large sums of money on expensive supplements to try to achieve the results to creating HGH. It is believed by some that taking HGH supplements may not be such a good idea. By contrast Life Lift is totally natural and safe as well as yours free for the rest of your life once you have learned the breathing technique. Your body is creating it naturally. You are not introducing anything into your body except oxygen.
7-Do I have to do 20 minutes at once or can I break it up?
You can break it up if that will help you to do it more often. When I first started teaching Life Lift I would have people do the full 20 minutes all at once and the results were most often very dramatic. I would have them break up the sessions after that just to make it easier for them. However I noticed that those who continued doing the full 40 Life Lift breaths (or you can just do 20 minutes) at once seemed to continue to have better results. It is a great idea to add some extra to your day as you are standing in front of a mirror brushing your hair, sitting at your computer or in your car, while watching television, or while you are washing dishes. Just think of all the possibilities. Whenever you are doing anything that does not require you to use your mouth you can do some extra Life Lift breaths. I love it when I am traveling because I can do it in a hotel room. My doctor loves to do it when she is out walking. Think of Life Lift as your life enhancement and you will find it becoming second nature. Do it just to feel better daily.
8- Who should not do Life Lift?
If you have not been exercising regularly you should consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program. If you are pregnant, consult your doctor. If you have any concerns take the tape to your doctor and have him review it. I have not been told of a doctor who found Life Lift to be harmful, however you should trust your own personal doctor. He is the expert in his field and he knows your situation. Let him make the ultimate decision.
If you have uncontrolled high blood pressure consult your doctor. You will see many testimonials telling us that someone lowered their blood pressure after using Life Lift, however these were people who had their blood pressure under control with the help of their doctor before they began the program.
Consult your doctor if you have glaucoma, again, your doctor may approve the program for you.
There is a warning at the beginning of the Original Life Lift video for these things. It is there as a precaution. Please consult your doctor if you have any concerns about the use of this or any other exercise program
The above list is the only known list of possible contraindications. If you have any questions about the safety of using Life Lift for yourself. It is your responsibility to consult your doctor before using this or any other exercise program. Life Lift and it's distributors assume no liability if you chose to use the program. We encourage you to listen to your doctors advice on all health matters.
Some have asked if it is O.K. to do Life Lift if they smoke, have asthma, or cough, or have other lung conditions.
Life Lift can actually be very beneficial for people with these conditions.
If you have arthritis, or limited movements for other reasons, Life Lift can be an incredible addition to your life, since it is designed with positions that will nurture your body rather than tearing down the skeletal structure like traditional aerobic exercises can often do. If you have difficulty with any position simply modify it so it works for you. It should never be painful. Life Lift can be done effectively when sitting in a chair or lying down. I have taught many people while in wheel chairs. Life Lift increases strength, flexibility, and stamina so it is wonderful for those with limited capabilities, yet athletes love what it does to improve their performance.
9-Do I have to wear anything special to do the Life Lift program?
No. One of the most appealing things about the Life Lift program is that you can do it anywhere, wearing anything. I rarely change my clothes to do a workout. The only thing this program requires is your body and your commitment to improve yourself.
10-How does Life Lift work? Where does the fat go since people have actually lost several inches in just a few sessions of doing Life Lift?
Life Lift sets off a series of events that results in your body absorbing more oxygen that it normally does. This extra oxygen is what brings so much benefit to your whole being. In addition to the HGH released by Life Lift, which is discussed above.
With each breath throughout the day we take in oxygen and create carbon dioxide, which we exhale. The carbon dioxide builds up in your body to a certain level and sets off the next inhalation.
Paradoxical as it may seem, carbon dioxide is actually the key to affecting the level of oxygen in your blood. The Life Lift breathing process, during the time you are holding your breath out, allows the level of carbon dioxide in your bloodstream to build up beyond the point at which you normally would inhale. This puts your body on high alert for oxygen. Your body has many ways to adjust itself to changing priorities, which you can observe throughout the day. A shortage of any vital nutrient, including oxygen, triggers a host of responses. In this situation your body becomes extremely receptive to any incoming oxygen. When you finally inhale, that oxygen is sucked up through your lungs and rushed to the bloodstream., and most of all to where muscles have been flexed or stretched. It rushes to that point to heal, thus toning and firming the muscle.
This cycle of high levels of carbon dioxide and oxygen alternating may be what tells your body you are functioning as a highly physical being, triggering it to release more HGH (human growth hormone) so you can be as physically young as your performance needs indicate you need to be. In contrast, if you sit around all day, your HGH levels will fall off. Your body will give you what you tell it, by your actions, you need. If you need nothing-indicated by no activity and lots of food- it will power down into cruise control at a low level. If you rev up the circulatory systems, your body will say, "Hey, we got a live one here," and put in the high-performance ingredients you need to have a high-performance body and mind. Life Lift is the best way we know to rev up your body and get it to come fully alive.
With Life Lift you are directly adding oxygen, which invigorates your brain (amazingly, your brain uses 20% of the oxygen you breathe.) That same oxygen alters your acid/alkaline balance to where it is supposed to be, thus supporting your immune system, and breaking down accumulated toxic waste and the chemicals released by stress so they can be made harmless and eliminated. Life Lift will generally boost your energy and relax you, depending on what you need.
10-What kind of testimonials do you have about the Life Lift program?
We have received thousands of remarkable, often called miraculous testimonials. They can be seen on our web sites, on the video sleeves and in our brochures. I love to share them because they may contain an answer you are searching for. Because someone else was kind enough to take the time to share their success, it may increase the chances of you achieving the goals you are after. After all, as I often say, inspiration is as important as instruction.
Here are just a few of those testimonials:
One woman from New Zealand let us know that after suffering from panic attacks that had her life out of control, she started the Life Lift program and after receiving specific directions from me to combine her breaths with positive visualizations to change the focus from what was making her feel panicked, she called her results "miraculous." She felt that she became more able to focus on the positive things that she desired and was able to overcome the feelings of being out of control.
I recently heard from a woman who says that she has suffered from migraine headaches that were destroying her life. She felt that she was so unable to function that she sometimes felt suicidal. She told me that she had been praying for an answer. She feels strongly that Life Lift is the answer. Her doctor was so amazed at the changes in her since starting the Life Lift program that he is doing studies on the Life Lift program.
Today she sent a message telling me that her husband is thrilled with her inch and weight loss too!
If you want to see more stories about how others just like you have improved problems with asthma, high blood pressure, stress, diabetes, and the list goes on, just visit the web sites from time to time, they are updated often. Let the success of others help support you in making your dreams a reality.

Questions and Answers
I was wondering if it is possible to lose fat just by doing the breathing exercises.
Yes, it is possible to burn fat just with LIFELIFT and no flexes. When you do the LIFELIFT breathing you are flooding your body with oxygen. It is the oxygen that burns fat. One of the beauties of LIFELIFT is that you don't have to think about fat loss if you don't want to. Just enjoy the wonderful way you feel when you create that lovely "endorphin high" that leaves you feeling so great. There are so many benefits to doing LIFELIFT that the loss of inches and fat is icing on the cake. The reality is that if you are doing the LIFELIFT regularly it can help your body function better in all ways. When your body is "happy" and working right it will look great too! It would be good if everyone would focus on the basic benefits of LIFELIFT , such as building the immune system and healing with oxygen, and let the weight and inch loss come naturally. Be good to yourself and do what makes YOU feel good. Sarah also asked how is it possible to lose weight by breathing. Here is the answer: It seems everyone wants to share their good news with me about what is happening since they started Life Lift. A woman named Trish Tschirn wrote to tell me she has lost 66 pounds and numerous inches and absolutely made my day. She is only one of many. It is very exciting and I love it, but I admit it can be hard to keep up with it sometimes. One thing is certain. It is worth the effort. I am always on a natural high from the combination of all the good news I get and the oxygen I live with from doing Life Lift. I am always a little surprised when someone says they can't believe breathing can help you lose weight. I guess it is because I have such an analytical mind and since I have been in health and fitness for over 30 years it makes complete sense to me that this would be the case. I always knew that the reason people run and jump up and down in aerobics classes is to breathe hard enough, long enough to get enough oxygen flowing in their bodies to start burning fat and toning muscles. It is the oxygen that speeds up the metabolism, turns to fuel and burns fat. It is not the movement of the body, but instead it is the amount of oxygen you introduce into your body that creates the fuel to start the fire to burn off body fat. Oxygen is the fuel that all our cells need to be healthy. Oxygen is the fuel we need to stay alive and also to heal.
Which videos do I need to get started?
The Original Life Lift video and the OxygenZoo Family Fitness videos are the only ones with detailed instructions for the Life Lift breathing technique. The Workout Videos are meant to be used by those who know how to do the Life Lift breaths correctly. The Workout vidieos are meant to help you get your daily workout from start to finish.

How long will it take me to lose inches and weight? I am starting to see results. I was getting discouraged, I'm one of those people who likes to see instant results and I know I need to be a little more patient. I have noticed more energy and not needing the caffeine as much in the mornings as a jump start. When I do LIFE LIFT, I can make it through the morning without that usual dose of coffee. Yeah, that's a very good thing. Have a great day!
Most often people see results very quickly, but, there are some people who lose slower than others. All it takes is a little patience and a lot of oxygen with LIFE LIFT to get you going. Along the way you will enjoy many other benefits. Your body will be healing and regenerating. One of our most successful Life Lifter's is Wanda and she had a slow start because of past dieting habits and health issues. Last time I heard she has lost 77 pounds and she loves everything about the Life Lift program. She also swears by the Body Wrap Products combined with Life Lift. She will tell you over and over again how many benefits come from doing Life Lift.
My sister-in-law lost ten inches in ten days. I am currently diagnosed with genital herpes. I was told by my physician that I need to reduce my stress levels and increase my immune system. This program will help me tremendously. Ed
Dear Ed: I can not begin to tell you how much I love hearing great stories like this. Your sister-in law must be thrilled. I know I am for her. It sounds like LIFELIFT would be great for you. It is so amazing for stress reduction. I have taught many large groups of people, mostly men in large corporate offices, for stress management. I have been referred by therapists for years to help their patients lower stress. As for building the immune system, I cannot rave enough about what it has done for me personally, as well as for so many of the people that I have taught. Good luck to you
Hello! I have a question about your technique. I am "spoon-shaped" or "pear- shaped"...small breasts, small waist... but my thighs (below my panty line) and my gluts are very large ... HUGE ... GIANT ... and I am only 5'1...so they look even larger! I am overweight by about 40 lbs. (have whittled down from a much larger size)...but even at goal weight, I am three sizes larger at the bottom than top. I know this form of breathing works wonders on the waistline...but will it work on the bottom half of one's body? Thanks so much!
It sounds like you have the same situation many of the women I have worked with have. The pear-shaped body is something that traditional exercise seems to do nothing for, yet if you read the testimonials on the back of the video from Hilary King Flye and Helen Strodl, they both had the same problem. Helen lost over 16 inches in a few months all off her hips and thighs and has maintained for almost 10 years using only LIFELIFT . Hilary states that even though she "pounded herself to exhaustion in the gym" that she was never able to eliminate the inches from her pear- shaped bottom until LIFELIFT . LIFELIFT is so great for your body type because you can do positions that I teach in the video that draw the oxygen to the point of stress where you flex the hips and thighs and it trims those areas and can bring your body into proportion. I wish you thin, beautiful thighs and hips, and lots of happiness
How old is too old and how young is too young to benefit from Life Lift?
One of the wonderful things about Life Lift is there are no age limits. I have taught people as old as 90 and as young as 2 years old. It is so easy to learn and so easy to do that anyone should be able to do it. I have even taught people in wheelchairs. I was requested by a doctor to work with patients with MS and even one with Lou Gerrigh's disease. The benefits can be truly wonderful for those who are limited, yet athletes love Life Lift too.
Are there any rules I need to follow to get results with Life Lift?
One of the great things about doing LIFE LIFT is there are no rules as to when you need to do it. Some do it in the morning, some at night, some just add it in to their daily schedule. The best thing is to do what feels best to you. There are many who love the way it makes them feel so much that they do more than one workout a day. The good news is that you can't do too much. I do it while I am sitting here at the computer, just do a sitting pelvic tilt and breathe. I also do it in the shower, while driving, and any other time I can think of when I am doing other things. Today I did some planting in my yard and did LIFE LIFT breaths as I walked around doing the work. The more you do it, the more you speed your metabolism up, and the more fat you burn.
I like it most coz it makes you feel healthy and look good. I would love to know how it works in more detail (a more biological explanation). I like to know exactly what's happening in my body. Thanks!
the oxygen will rush to that point of stress to heal. Thus you will tone and firm that muscle. That is why the body flexing positions are so great. You can actually sculpt your body to be the way you want it. Good luck and my best wishes
Q: I'm wondering if doing LIFE LIFT as my only form of regular exercise will sufficiently increase my endurance and stamina to participate in other sports or exercises, on an occasional basis. I love to water ski and spend a great majority of my summer aboard our houseboat on Shasta Lake. In the past, I used to walk or run a minimum of 8 miles a day. I found that is was a direct contributor to my being able to have the strength to water ski, hike, etc. I'm getting a little worried that I haven't been able to do the running and walking, in that I may not be able to do the summer sports that I truly enjoy.
This really is a great question and I am certain that you will love the answer. One of the biggest benefits of LIFE LIFT is that it does increase your strength, stamina and endurance better than anything else could. What LIFE LIFT does is magnify the results of any other activity you do.
How difficult is it for an ex-smoker to perform LIFELIFT?
It is not difficult for a smoker, or an ex-smoker. It is a simple, easy and enjoyable breathing technique for anyone. I have had many smokers actually quit even when they did not try because it made their lungs feel so strong and clear and clean that they could not stand the feeling of the smoke anymore. If you have smoked in the past it can be especially beneficial to build up your lungs and strengthen them. Good for you that you quit smoking! I know that it can be difficult and I commend you for it!
I ordered the video and was wondering if the workout is following the video each time. Most of the other breathing videos (Bodyflex and Oxycise) are 15 minute workouts and LIFELIFT is 53 minutes? Thanks for any help on this. Rhonda
Hi Rhonda: The video is 53 minutes long to give you many choices of positions to do and also to give you some added inspiration to take into your workout. Once you have the technique and positions down you can choose the ones that focus on the parts you are interested in changing, and create your own workout. The face-lift in the video is something I also feel is important. You want your face to get exercise too, so you look and feel great all over. Your actual workout will last 15 to 20 minutes depending on how many times you change positions and how long each full repetition or breath takes you personally. Once you reach your goal you will only need to do 5 or 10 minutes 2 or 3 times a week for maintenance. Because of requests and questions like yours, I have created a whole new set of videos which are straight workout videos with no instruction in the LIFELIFT technique so you can just get in and enjoy your workout.
I have an 83-year-old mother who has leaking heart valves and problems with her legs. Is this something she will be able to do as well?
I always suggest that anyone with such health problems consult their doctor. I would take the video to your doctor and have him or her review it. I have been asked by many doctors to work with their patients and the results have been often near miraculous, so I would love to hear that it has helped your Mother regain her health. I created a special program for my 80-year-old Father when he was in the hospital recovering from stomach cancer and the doctors and nurses were all for it, telling us to keep him doing it. I am happy to say that he is like a walking miracle, home and doing well only a few months after his surgery. Good luck to you both. It is wonderful for you to show such caring for your Mother.
I was wondering, when you hold your breath, how long do you hold it? I should be getting my video either today or tomorrow! I'm so excited!
When going through the LIFE LIFT video it is best to stay with the timing. The reason for this is that I am working to keep it as slow and precise as possible to help your body assimilate the oxygen in the best possible way. When you are doing the LIFE LIFT breaths without the positions, say driving, or at the computer, you can hold your breath as long as you can comfortably. You are working on flooding your body with oxygen more than doing target exercises for specific body areas. This is excellent for keeping the oxygen flow to keep your metabolism working at optimum level.
Thank you Rashelle for finding info and getting me my videos out. I wanted to tell you earlier that last month was a one year anniversary with LIFELIFT AND........I can not believe this ...I went back to last year's measurements and compared them. I have lost a total of 32 inches overall. Can you believe this. I am ecstatic! The only 2 areas that are not coming off is the waist and under my bra area. That's mainly the reason I wanted to get the other videos. Maybe working with these may help. I love all your videos and can't wait to get these last ones I ordered. My husband loves you and what LIFELIFT has done to my figure and stamina. He sees a tremendous difference in my looks as well as skin and hair along with energy. Thanks Rashelle words are not enough to express how I feel. I work out every morning to your videos and feel I know that beautiful angel God has sent into my living room! . Yours, Debbie T
Dear Debbie, I can't imagine waking up to a more wonderful message from a more wonderful person. Thank You. I find that just doing the LIFE LIFT breaths works the mid section area and usually shrinks it. I am trying to think of something that you can do to work that more. Perhaps this will work. Stand up straight and reach one arm over your head. Now circle it with your lower arm and hand, like you are creating a halo over your head. Now slowly bend to the side, as if you are trying to touch the opposite side of the floor with your fingertips. May sure the movement is very slow and smooth so you don't stress your back. Now do a LIFE LIFT breath. Alternate sides with each breath. Try this and let me know if it helps. Please tell your husband I said thank you
I was wondering if you have to the LIFELIFT breath on an empty stomach? Thanks, Kelly
Hi Kelly: Most people can do LIFELIFT at any time, but I have found over the years that doing it on an empty stomach can be better because when you do the final lift you can bring your abdominal muscles in much tighter if there is no food in the way. Doing LIFELIFT on an empty stomach seems to allow increased HGH to act. So that is another reason to do LIFELIFT on an empty stomach.
I Do not feel any muscle soreness. Am I on the right track?
Some do feel sore, most do not. Muscle soreness comes from a build up of lactic acid in the body. This is also the cause of some cellulite on people's bodies. Often you will see very athletic women with cellulite all over their thighs even thought their muscles are very firm. It is because they have built up too much lactic acid. The oxygen flush usually prevents this and breaks down the lactic acid, this is many do not feel sore after even an intense workout with LIFE LIFT. It is fine if you are a little sore, but it is also fine if you are not. That is not a good way to gauge if you are doing it correctly.
My friend has your tape and I saw what it did for her. She's 54 and looks and feels younger. I've tried everything to lose weight but your tape is an answer to my prayers. Colleen
Dear Colleen: Thank you so much for taking the time to send such an uplifting message. It has always amazed and thrilled me to see that after using LIFELIFT for only a short time many people look like they have had a face-lift. When I first started teaching LIFELIFT many years ago I would run into someone who was doing LIFELIFT and I would think to myself that they must have had something dramatic done to themselves. After seeing the same results on several people in a row I started to realize that LIFELIFT not only retards the aging process, it actually seems to reverse it. Every one is looking for the fountain of youth, and all they need to do is learn to breathe right. Isn't it wonderful to know that all you need is your own body to get the best workout in the world?
Do I have to give up other workouts that I love to do Life Lift?
It is perfectly ok for you to continue to do any other exercise you like. I love to exercise and Life Lift is all I do now, but I understand why you would want to continue doing some of the other things you love. Life Lift will help you get more from anything else you do as well as the benefits you get from Life Lift alone.
If I am not sweating is LIfe Lift working?
It is not necessary to sweat to lose weight or inches. I know many people who rarely ever sweat, yet they have achieved remarkable results. I also know some who say they sweat with Life Lift even though they don't with other traditional exercise. Each person will be different and it really does not impact your results.
What exercise in the natural acupressure face lift is actually helping the drooping, sagging jaw/cheek area
Hi Rashelle and all, I'm a new member and just started my LL video and body wrap on Nov. ll, Tuesday. I'm really amazed! I've been premenstral and then started my period today but I still lost 2 1/2 inches!! Even with bloating and increased appetite. I didn't use the body wrap products consistantly either! AND IT'S ONLY BEEN FOUR DAYS! I have a few questions. Am I the "woman on the phone" from the last paragraph in your body flex support post? If I am, I have some exciting news to add to that post. Even if I'm not that woman, this is still exciting news. I started getting an unexpected benefit from LL. Some background first.......For as long as I can remember, I've experienced pain in my body whenever I used my muscles such as bending, squatting, walking, reaching, climbing stairs, etc. I believe this is left over from experiencing fibromyalgia, a mild form of lupus, hypothyrodisim, hypoglycemia and epileptic/paralitic seisures in the past. So basically, I experienced aches and pain whenever I moved a little bit! I just assumed that everyone experienced this until I brought it up to my medically trained husband. Then I found out that most people can move without PAIN!? This was shocking to me but it certainly explained why I wasn't very active. It stands to reason that if I experience pain when I move, then I WON'T want to move. HA,HA! So the exciting news is I can move much more without pain than I could prior to starting LL and the body wrap products! I noticed the lessoning of pain after the first day and then waited 3 days to make sure it was real before I posted. Instead of aching when I reach the first or second step of the stairs, I get to the 6th or 7th stair before I start aching! Also, I decided to try jogging a short distance. For the first time ever, I didn't breath very heavy and only started aching the last few steps before I was at my destination. Approximately, 200 feet! Yes!!! And I just know it'll keep getting better and better! Now, for my next question..........What exercise in the natural acupressure face lift is actually helping the drooping, sagging jaw/cheek area (I don't know what to call this area)? It's the area close to either side of your mouth. This happens to be achallenging area for me. I am also challenged by a thick waist. My waist is only 5 inches less than my hips! I remember reading about an exercise you gave someone in your newsletter. I believe, you said to reach around your head like a halo with both arms and bend to the side and then do a LL breath. Is this correct? I can't remember where I read it and if I remember it correctly. I've been doing this exercise since I started LL and 1/2 inch of my inch loss is in my waist, so I'm thinking I've either got the waist exercise correct or close to it. Also, if you have any other waist exercises that you think may be effective for me, I'd appreciate learning about them, when you get a chance to respond. Thank you so much, Rashelle, for being the angel you are! Also, thank you for spreading your LL knowledge so that we all benefit. Love and Laughter! Connie Sowards (Rashelle, I was the woman who called last week because I wasn't sure if my order went through and we had a lovely talk about using our intuition, trusting ourselves, plans you had, my health in the past and the way I found LL} Hello Connie, Believe me, Connie, I would never forget you. Welcome to our group. What a truly wonderful addition you will be. I LOVED reading this message. You really know how to inspire and your kind and generous heart shines through each and every word. Needless to say I am thrilled with your results and also with your enthusiasm. Messages like yours can touch so many people to give them hope and a brand new beginning. Yes, you are my sweet "woman on the phone". Our conversation touched me deeply. I am so happy that you decided to write to the list because when I spoke with you I knew in my heart that you would bring something very special to Life Lift and to all of us here on our lists. Your story is beautiful for so many reasons. As you described how you once thought it was normal to feel pain I thought back to how my childhood was and how I did not know any other way than to feel other than awful and weak. I must have somehow known that there was a better way to feel because I was totally determined to find a solution. I can see that the deepest part of your heart must have known that you could feel better. Here you are telling us today that you have been able to go beyond what tradition tells us to use your own inner feelings about your body to help yourself heal. This touches on everything I believe in. I believe there are no impossible dreams. I believe there are no hopeless causes. I see hope in the sliver of light at the end of the darkest day. I have faith in each and every one of you and I feel in my heart that when we learn to know our own bodies we can fix what some may call unfixable. I am working on a newsletter and one of the subjects is titled "Don't be a stranger" It is about getting to know yourself and your own body in a way that can take you to the place you really want to be. You have obviously figured this out and look what you have to show for it. You warm my heart. I feel honored that you have chosen Life Lift as a part of your health program. The entire face lift works to lift the entire face up so the lower part of your face is "lifted". All of the muscles on your face work together so the best thing is to begin at the top and work your way down. If you put your hands on the side of your face at the top and lift you will see what I mean. Everything moves in an upward direction. The idea is to help our faces become stronger just like we do with our bodies with the Life Lift positions. As for your waist line there are a couple of articles in the past newsletters that you can find on the web sites that offer a few ideas on how to firm the abdomen which will also target your waistline. I will try to put some more together for you as soon as I have a few extra moments. Please keep your positive, inspirational messages coming. You will make a difference for a lot of people. Believe me. Rashelle
Would this help me deal with a stressful lifestyle? (I am a homeschooling mom of 4). Also, how much time does it take? Does it help with sleep? Thanks
Yes, Life Lift is the best thing I have found for stress reduction. Most people begin to notice a decrease in stress very quickly. You should also see improvement with your sleep before long. Many people say they notice changes the first day they do it, but some people do take a little longer. You may want to consider the Original Life Lift video for detailed instructions and also the Reflexology video to do before bedtime. It is the number one favorite after the Original. Below are three messages that just came through our support list message boards in the past two days. Hopefully they will be helpful to you. Hi! I just wanted to post and say that LL is definitely the best of all the breathing programs. It really nourishes the body, kind of like eating healthy food and taking your vitamins do.:) I get muscle spasms and terrible tightness in my neck and shoulders so bad that I get dizzy. I also get awful headaches. Well I have to confess I was doing one of the "other" breathing programs again for a change and guess what? I think it is making me feel worse by making me tense up the very area the I'm trying to loosen! So, I'm saying all that to say I'm back to doing LL exclusively so I can heal and strengthen my body not hurt it. Thank you again Rashelle for the best program out there.:) Claudia Yes, I want to agree with I think it was Claudia, who said the other breathing programs hurt her neck. I have lots of neck and back issues, and I started out with Body Flex.. I lost inches, etc, but it was really putting a strain not only on my neck and back, but causing my asthma to flare up. So I started researching breathing programs and found our wonderful Rashelle and LL. I love the way LL makes me feel- so calm and relaxed, and it never hurts my neck or back, and actually helps my asthma. As I mentioned earlier in the week, it also helps calm me down when I am suffering emotionally. I have a bad cold right now, and even though it takes more energy when I'm sick, I sat in my recliner yesterday and did LL breaths off and on all through the day, and also did the breaths with reflexology on my hands, feet and face. I also do the LL breaths in the steam room. and then when I'm driving I often do them. LL is just part of my life. I think I've been doing the breaths now for maybe two years I still keep up the breaths because they do so much more than work on my outer body...but as others have mentioned...INTERNALLY I know it's healing me. So remember to stick with it, even when you don't see 'outward' results...because they will come in time. Hi Sue, Yep it was me.:) I have done both B.F. and Oxycise. LifeLift is the only one that leaves me feeling energized and peaceful.:) I have chronic muscle pain, especially in my neck and shoulders. LL does not increase the tightness as the others do. I too LOVE the reflexology. In fact I'm going to do some now. Take Care. Claudia
I read an article in a magazine about Oxycise but my friend told me
Let me start by saying that a few years ago I tried BF, because a friend of mine loaned me the video. I didn't care much for it, felt like I was hyperventilating. So, I just forgot about aerobic breathing for a long time. Then a couple of months ago, I read a brief article in Woman's World magazine about Oxycise. I was talking to another friend of mine about it, and she told me about LL. She said that LL is definitely the best program for aerobic breathing. She has most of the dvd's, and has lost a lot of inches, and about two clothing sizes. She told me it definitely works. So, I ordered the instructional dvd a week ago (and was amazed at how quickly it arrived!) and have done it about three times. It makes me feel really good afterward, I can say that! Now for my questions....first of all, I have asthma, so I tend to cough some (which I know is okay), but sometimes I feel a little out of breath. My question is, when doing each set of exercises, do you do the breathing continuously without pausing? I.E. if I'm doing a set for my biceps, do I not pause or rest on the breaths until I'm done with that set? Is it okay to rest a bit in between sets to catch my breath? Also, when you're flexing the muscle group that you're working, how hard do you flex? Say on the biceps exercise where you press your hands together--do you press hard, or gently? And I like to use 5# dumbells...can I use them by doing the flex on the muscle and holding it there with the weights? Also, on the facelift reflexology part....should you do it right after doing the LL breathing & exercises, or can you do it anytime? Nettie
Hello Nettie, Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate it. Your success is the most important thing to me and I am here to do everything I can to make sure you get everything possible from your LifeLift program. Thank your friend for here wonderful review and support of LifeLift. I appreciate that too. The reason has grown world-wide is because of the generosity of people like her who share their positive experiences with others by doing that they are helping many others to improve their lives on many levels. It can be normal when you begin to cough a little, even without asthma, but with asthma it can be a little more often. Usually this improves after you have done LifeLift regularly for awhile. It is just fine to pause in between breaths. The most important thing is to remember to relax and enjoy it. The more relaxed you are the easier it is for your body to release toxins, fat and stress. If you become stressed trying to keep on breathing when you feel you need to take a breath you will not enjoy it for one thing, but also you will not get the best results because you are not relaxed. You do not need a hard flex. I think of it as medium flexing. It should be enough that you feel the muscle tense, but not so it feels like you are straining. It is better when using weights and dumbbells to do your LifeLift breaths ahead of time and then do the workout with your dumbbells or weights after, unless they are as light weight as say, the stretch bands. It is best to do the Natural Face Lift technique right after doing at least 10 LifeLift breaths, (5 minutes) to get the oxygen into your bloodstream so when you push on the pressure points the oxygen will help the process of the face lift, but you can do it any time just for the acupressure benefits. I don't think it should matter which way you do the circles, but I always do mine from right to left. It is the pressure you are putting on the area that creates the benefits and the oxygen drawn there by doing LifeLift is a huge extra benefit. It does seem to help if you can rotate your workouts, example would be doing the 15 minute workout in the morning and the 20 minute workout in the evening one day, or even better do either the 15 or 20 minute workout in the morning and the Reflexology in the evening. I really think it helps to throw in a few here and there throughout the day without positions, while sitting at the computer, in the tub or shower or while driving in your car. Anytime you think of it. I find it really helps keep me more focused, my energy up, I sleep better and I am certain it helps keep me thin and healthier. You will keep your metabolism running well and you will feel less stress and more relaxed all day and night too. Great questions.
Do you have to diet with LifeLift? How do you eat to stay healthy?
Rashelle's Eating Plan
Someone wrote today asking about my eating plan. I thought my answer may be helpful to some of you.
I have written several things about my eating plans in past newsletters. If you have time I suggest you go to www.lifelift.net and read the past newsletters. I do a great deal of research and I try to keep you updated on anything that I think may help you get the most from your LifeLift program.
I don't believe in deprivation diets or diets that put a lot of restrictions on you. I feel that long term most do not work and they can often create a lot of health problems for us. I believe more in creating a healthy eating plan that you can live with for the rest of your life.
There are so many fad diets out there and frankly some of them are scary. I cannot imagine cutting things like watermelon or apples out of my diet because they have a high carb count. One thing that many of the low carb diets fail to tell us is that our bodies need carbs for energy, especially if you are working out like we do with LifeLift. Even though the workouts seem so easy and nurturing, they are still an excellent body workout and they cause your body to require good, healthy fuel along with the oxygen in order to perform well.
I do keep my carbs somewhat low, but I do not cut them out entirely. I think it is important to be aware that we need good carbs to be healthy.
A recent report on eating habits in this country reveals that almost a quarter of the calories we consume come from junk foods that are nutrient-poor" To avoid this kind of eating I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits, I truly am an apple and watermelon "nut" and I love, love, love nuts ( I am in love with unsalted almonds, unsalted sunflower nuts and low salt cashew nuts). I eat a lot of fish, my favorites are tilapia, salmon, halibut, and trout. I do try to be careful not to overdo because of the high mercury content. I eat a lot of white turkey, (just my preference), chicken breasts and Cornish game hens are some of my favorites. I rarely eat red meat because I find it very difficult to digest. Poor digestion can lead to many serious health issues.
Portion control is also a very important part of my eating plan. I always try to "leave a little for the birds" instead of eating the plate clean. I like using smaller plates. I feel they encourage us not to over eat. Many studies have proven that the bigger the plate the more you will eat.
I drink a lot of water. I do not use caffeine, I just never acquired a taste for it.
I do believe juicing is a good thing. I rarely drink soft drinks, I mean once or twice a year. It is that rare.
I do drink a herbal tea, green tea, eaters digest tea and cranberry tea. There are many good flavors available, but these are my personal favorites.
I try to avoid white refined sugars, white flour or really much refined food at all. I find they seem to cause a lot of allergies so I just don't include them in my meals. If I am somewhere that they have some really exceptional white bread, I will eat it without any feelings of guilt or remorse. I think some things are fine in moderation, but I have weaned myself away from wanting any of this even though I used to be what I called a "bread freak" When I learned that there was a direct change in the way I feel when I eat the white bread and when I don't I decided it did not taste that great after all.
I cook with either extra virgin coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil. I have done this for many years.
I rub the coconut oil directly on my cornish hens and put them in the oven and they are amazing. The smell is as good as the taste when you cook with high quality coconut oil. I use coconut oil to cook all of my fish and chicken breasts too.
I love cooking and I love eating. I find that if I do my LifeLift breaths daily and drink plenty of water, along with eating good, healthy well balanced meals that I feel great. I would love to know that you all feel as good as I do.
Sharing LifeLift with all of you has brought so much to my life. I love hearing that you are feeling better because you have added LifeLift to your lives.
